Empowerment & Local Capacity Development
Employing participatory practices and capacity building approach to promote empowerment to ensure relevance and ownership for all stakeholders

Conflict and gender sensitivity
GARD will ensure the element of conflict and gender sensitivity in development programming through analysis and monitoring of the possible impacts of all our interventions to minimize unintended negative impacts (“Do-No-Harm”) and to maximize positive impacts. Similarly, because both women and men; boys and girls have different roles, and needs, GARD will take into consideration a gender sensitive approach to development by recognizing this uniqueness to achieve sustainable development.
Research and advocacy
High quality evidence research is necessary for both programming and advocacy and for the purposes of relevant and current policy change. All our programs are informed by a rigorous and cutting-edge evidence-based research and innovative advocacy
